David Schwartz (born c. 1994) is an American politician who serves as the Vice Chair of the Brooklyn Democratic Committee and Democratic District Leader for the 48th District of the New York State Assembly. He is a Democrat. The district includes all of Borough Park and portions of Midwood, in Brooklyn. Early life Schwartz is originally from Williamsburg, New York and attended the United Talmudic Academy in Kiryas Joel. Career Schwartz first got involved in politics at age 18 when he volunteered on Lincoln Restler's campaign for District Leader in Williamsburg. With his election, Schwartz became the youngest District Leader in Brooklyn history and the first Hasidic District Leader since the 1980s. Schwartz served as the Jewish Community Outreach Director for campaign for Mayor of New York City.
