David Krae <ref name"OfficialSite"/> is a film director, actor, producer and author. After years working on both sides of the camera as an actor and crew member on various film and television projects, in 2006 he directed the independent feature film The House,<ref name"TheHouse"/> which was featured as an Official Selection <ref name="OfficialSelection"/> of the Canadian Filmmakers' Festival.<ref name"CanFilmFest"/> In 2007 he won the Golden Palm Award<ref name"GoldenPalm"/> for Best Script in the screenwriting competition at the Beverly Hills Film Festival for his feature screenplay Lucretia about Lucretia Borgia. A supporter of independent filmmaking, he supervised production of the Genie Award-nominated feature film This Beautiful City by director Ed Gass-Donnelly among various other projects. He produced and the independent action-comedy feature film Gangster Exchange by director Dean Bajramovic,<ref name"Deano" /> which won six Best Feature <ref name"Awards" /> awards at festivals across North America. As a performer, Krae has appeared in various television shows and film projects; he is a member of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) and the Canadian Media Producers Association (formerly CFTPA <ref name="CFTPA"/>); and as a writer and filmmaker, he is based in both Toronto and Los Angeles. He published a novel version of Lucretia,<ref name"LucretiaBook"/> the story of Lucretia Borgia, as well as the Elizabethan style stage play <ref name"LucretiaPlay"/> upon which it was originally based.
