Akshay Reddy

Akshay Reddy(born 21 February 1988) is an Indian film, television and stage actor based in New York. He made his debut with movie Anji. He won many accolades including the prestigious Nandi Award for his work in ETV television series Bangaru Bomma.
Early life
Akshay was born in Hyderabad, India. At the age of 12, while still in school he attended an acting workshop where he was discovered. Since then he worked as lead and supporting actor in many feature films and television series.
Career
Akshay later moved to New York, to study method acting at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and also attended workshops at A.R.T, Harvard University and Moscow Art Theatre School, Moscow. While in school he worked on movies like The Distance Between Us and Uncommitted. He starred as the lead in acclaimed writer, director Kona Venkat's film Ram and Juliet.
He played the role of Jagmohan in the play Half Hearted, an adaptation of Aadhe Adhure by Mohan Rakesh for MAD Playhouse Theatre performed at Cherry Lane Theatre.
He recently starred in critically acclaimed short film Sam's Box which won the Best Ensemble Cast Award at Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.
