David Holcberg

David Holcberg is a media specialist with the Ayn Rand Institute. According the Institute's website, his specialties are environmentalism, science, and capitalism, Foreign Policy, Individual Rights and Property Rights, Islamic terrorism. He has a degree in civil engineering from Universidade Mackenzie (located in Sao Paulo, Brazil).
Holcberg's writings are published almost regularly in many newspapers and magazines, mostly as letters to the editor. He has been published in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Times, New York Post, New York Daily News, Washington Post, Washington Times, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Newsweek, The Economist, U.S. News and World Report, International Herald Tribune, Las Vegas Review-Journal, and the South China Morning Post.
Holcberg is best known for the minor controversy that ensued after the institute published his column, "U.S. Should Not Help Tsumani Victims."
Among his many views, he denies that humans have contributed in any significant way to global climate change and also argues for legalizing the trade in human organs and genetic engineering of humans.
In 2008, along with his wife, Holcberg translated Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead into portuguese language. His version was published in Brazil by the editor Editora Landscape and was titled "A Nascente" (ISBN 8577750604)
