David Bahar

David Bahar (born 1967 in Bradford West Yorkshire England) is an influential musician.

At the end of the 1980s House music music hit the shores of the UK and David was one of a hand full of British musicians to take up the style of music, his first release was on Chill Recordswith a group know as The Unique 3 (Patrick Cargill, Ian Park, and latter Edzy and Delroy Brown) the track was called The Theme, however Davids contribution was little known until around 2005 as he worked under the alias name of The Mad Musician. The Theme is widely regarded as one of the first independent records of the underground dance scene in the UK to get picked up by a major record label and was heard at the infamous Club Hacienda in Manchester England by Virgins (10 records) A&R.10 records signed and took over distribution. After selling part of the copyright he then formed Tribe Recordings and released several dance records with his label, and worked with other artist such as Carl Stipetic and the Jazz guitarist Yogi, working with jazz musicians had a big influance on his music and around the mid 1990s David was introduced to a little known but very talanted Classical musician by the name of Keith Firth, David studied classical music forms with him as Jazz and Classical Music had become a major interest to him. His music is now heard by a ever increasing audience and he cites influences form John Coltrane to Bach.
With a passion for the British independent record label it seems any move to one of the Big Four is not imminent.
