Darker Prisons

Darker Prisons
----

Darker Prisons is a Christian thriller novel by Kyle Golson. The novel is Golson's debut novel published in 2007. The plot follows the life of troubled friends who attend the same church. Their lives are plunged into a series of adventures when one of them is abducted. The story, according to Golson, tells what can happen when fellow church members in an extreme situation start to come to the aid of others in need. The author claims that when this happens people "discover that through God we can break out of the dark prisons that hold us captive and keep us from living the lives God wants us to experience."

Plot Summary
----

Sean Hitchcock never could deal with confrontation in his life, especially when it came to dealing with women. And when it comes to Moira Fox threatening legal action after a simple act of kindness, confusion turns to bitterness. Then Moira is abducted from the parking lot of a church, leaving Sean injured after a valiant but failed attempt to save her.

But things never happen the way one expects them to. After a surprising phone call made by a terrified Moira, Sean finds himself driven by mixed emotions of anger, guilt and desperation, attempting to rescue the woman who seemed to hate him from dangerous criminals. With his friend Jared Cross and his belief in God, Sean sifts for clues through the troubles that church members hide from prying eyes. Sean discovers the hidden strengths and struggles that he, Jared, and even Moira deal with every day.
