Dark Crescent

The band "Dark Crescent" was established in Van,
in Turkey, in 2007 by Ahrimass (lead guitarist) and
by Mercurial St (front man and vocal).
Despite of many lackness of technical support
by the zeal and effort of the group founders,
the band could survive. The first demo of the band
"Marching Through the Luminity" is one of the
masterpiece rhythmed by Ahrimass, also the other
songs "Profane Slogan", "Acute Abyss", "Gehenna" can be
regarded as the new breathes in the death metal atmosphere.
The band mainly stands on and pay attention to social affair,
inequality, politic disaster, poverty and other humanic
issues directed to the public by the governers.
With this view, the band and the members are/were preciated
for many times.
We can say that the sound of the band is a mixture of
black and death metal with a bit folk melodies.
And this event also attribute the harmonical system of the songs.
About a year ago, after a succesful adventure of death
metal in Van -where can be said too conservative to bear
even light rock music- there happened to occur some
disputes among the group members, obviously these were
led by the outsiders of the group -called themselves
"the savers of the world"-. And just after a couple of
weeks, one of the founders of band, Mercurial St. was
forced to end his relations with the band members and
quit the city. And Mercurial St. -nowadays, KaostanadaM-
did the way to show how he had been right about the outsiders.
Anyway, the band will "march through the luminity"
either so or on!

The Black Metal group, Dark Crescent was founded in 2006 by Ersay Kilinc (Vocal and Bass), Dogucan Karakaya (Guitar and Back Vocal) and Baris Bozboga (Guitar) in Van. It can be said that this new group is a bit amateur because of some lackness of technical materials but also the group approaches the level wanted day by day by performing new songs and using the high quality musical equipement. The first album of Dark Crescent -Marching Through the Luminity was published in early days of 2007. The group chose the religion, religious superstitions and the effects of liar holliness on people; class struggle; corruptions of rotten system; all social and psycholical problems caused by the system and force mechanism including state; bureaucracy; hierarchy; oligarchy; religion in a short word all the things which capture the freedom of pure humanity as the theme. So some of the songs seem to be very sarcastic. In general the group follows the trend of Carpathian Forest in sound and vocally of Nattefrost, by some aspect -especially the subjects of songs- connotates Boikot. Of course it must be said that the whole group members are revolutionist and naturally communist therefore the verses of songs mustn't irritate and shock the audience.
