Darij Grinberg

Darij Grinberg (born November 5, 1988 in Moscow) is a German-Russian mathematician known for his work on triangle geometry.
Biography
Born in Russia, Grinberg moved in 1996 with his parents from Moscow to Germany, and then to Karlsruhe in 1999.
Discoveries
Grinberg introduced the term Blaikie point of O and g for the point Z of concurrence, and defined the S-Blaikie transform of O as the Blaikie point of O and OS.
Grinberg proved some properties of certain points in triangles, for example the Kosnita point. Furthermore, he discovered some new special points in triangles and introduced the concept of the Blaikie points and the Blaikie transformations. There are six points in the Encyclopedia of Triangle Centers named after him:
*1st + 2nd Grinberg point
*1st + 2nd Grinberg homothetic center
*1st + 2nd Grinberg midpoints perspector
Awards
He won two silver medals (2004, 2005) and one gold medal (2006) at the International Mathematical Olympiad and was Bundessieger of the Bundeswettbewerb Mathematik four times and successful participant at the Deutsche Mathematik-Olympiade and the Landeswettbewerb Mathematik Baden-Württemberg. Grinberg studies mathematics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and is member of the Deutsche SchülerAkademie, an extracurricular program for gifted students.
