Danny Ray Muegge (born March 6, 1981 in Brenham, Texas) is a right-handed pitcher in Minor League Baseball who is in the Los Angeles Dodgers farm system. Muegge played baseball at Brenham High School, McLennan Community College, Blinn Community College and the University of Texas. He played in the College World Series in both 2002 and 2003 with Texas. He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 19th round of the 2003 MLB Draft. Played for the Yakima Bears in 2003 and South Bend Silver Hawks in 2004. He tied for first in the Midwest League in 2004 with 14 wins for South Bend. He pitched seven or more shut out innings in four of his 25 starts. Muegge was traded by the Diamondbacks (along with William Juarez, Beltran Perez and Dioner Navarro) to the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 11, 2005 in exchange for outfielder Shawn Green. He led the Vero Beach Dodgers in innings pitched in 2005 and pitched for the Jacksonville Suns in 2006, accumulating a 9-9 record with a 3.88 ERA in 25 starts for the Suns. Muegge missed the 2007 season due to injury but returned to Jacksonville for 2008.
