Roller Derby
Danielle co-founded the London Rollergirls with Courtney Welch and Lauren Langston. The first practice session was held on 30 April 2006 in Mulberry Sports & Leisure Centre in East London with a small turnout of less than 10 members. She designed the League's logo incorporating the Union Jack and safety pin in salute to the DIY punk rock sentiment of the early revival of roller derby that had been organically grew in the early part of the 21st century. She left the league after 9 months to focus on MMA and compete professionally.
Mixed Martial Arts
In 2003 Danielle West was offered to step in as an MMA opponent for Kelli Salone and accepted in an effort to lose weight having never competed in any combat sport previously. On 14 June 2003 she competed against Salone at UC 6 - Battle in the Cage and lost in the first round. Undaunted and determined to succeed she continued training and made her professional debut against Willemijn Van Zon on 11 August 2007 at Survival FC - Battle of the Gladiators winning at the end of the first round TKO (ref stoppage).
