Dan Curtis is a Canadian politician who was elected mayor of Whitehorse, Yukon in the 2012 municipal election. Career In the 2011 election, he ran for the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the riding of Riverdale South for the Yukon Liberal Party, but finished third in the riding, which was won by Jan Stick of the Yukon New Democratic Party. In 2017, a video of him fitting a turban with Gurdeep Pandher, a local musician, became popular online. He took a leave of absence from the mayoralty in 2021 to run as a Yukon Liberal Party candidate for the district of Whitehorse Centre in the 2021 Yukon general election, but was defeated by Emily Tredger of the Yukon New Democratic Party.
