Dan Chan

Dan Chan (born October 22, 1977) is an American magician, mentor, and marketer.
Biography
Dan Chan was born in San Francisco, California. He attended Lowell High School, a magnet school in San Francisco, followed by the University of California, Riverside where he majored in Business. Chan is a graduate of the San Francisco Circus Center and the Chavez Course in magic taught by Dale Salwak. Dan was an early employee at PayPal.
Since 1999 he has been performed over 250 live shows a year for a total over over 5,000 performances under the stage name Dan Chan the Magic Man. He is known for his sleight of hand and pick-pocketing skills. As a sleight of hand artist, he is a "purist" in that he uses only sleight of hand and no gimmicks. Chan has also performed the bullet catch, as well as being a performer of Bian lian, a Sichuan performance art where vividly colored masks change within a fraction of a second.
In 2007 he was awarded the title Magician of the Year by the San Jose chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
Chan performs corporate events, and has performed for Google on over 10 separate occasions, as well as for the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference for media moguls. Chan has also been featured at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Dan has been featured in a Google commercial for the self driving car. Currently he is running the Bay Area Dinner Show.
