DamonAndJo

DamonAndJo is a Youtube channel composed of the Los Angeles-based duo Damon Dominique and Jo Franco. The channel is oriented around Dominique and Franco's travels and language learning. Videos are frequently shot in French and Franco's native Portuguese as well as English and occasionally Spanish, German and Italian. The duo also have a blog named Shut Up and Go with content similar to their YouTube channel.
Personal Life
Dominique was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, living in a trailer park for thirteen years. He is a vegetarian.
Franco was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She left at the age of five with her mother and two siblings for Connecticut as an illegal immigrant. Her parents divorced whilst she was two. Her mother is remarried.
The two friends first met in a Facebook group and both attended Pace University in New York until dropping out.
The duo relocated from New York City to Los Angeles in the spring of 2015.
Channel Content
Self-described as "two broke twenty-somethings," the two have vlogged their trips to Europe, the States, Latin America, North Africa and Japan. Videos on learning and speaking French and Portuguese are also uploaded.
The duo also have a series named Dare to Travel, a collaboration with AT&T's Hello Lab where they see their travels to eight North American cities guided by their viewers' suggestions of activities on social media.
