Dalton Boutté is an executive vice-president of Schlumberger and president of WesternGeco, a subsidiary or Schlumberger. Boutté began his career with Schlumberger in 1980 after graduating from the University of New Orleans with a degree in civil engineering. He has held several positions with Schlumberger, including president of Wireline and president of Europe, the Soviet Union and Africa. In the 1990s Schlumberger sent Dalton to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a visiting fellow at the Sloane School of Business. He was a visiting fellow at MIT in 1992. He has traveled extensively and been a resident of at least six countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Argentina, France, and the UK. He has a son, James, and a daughter Erica.
