Da Governor

Bernard Fiifi Abban (born 31 March 1988, Accra, Ghana), whose stage name is Da Governor, is a Ghanaian reggae and dancehall singer from Asikuma in the Central Region of Ghana. His genre of music is reggae with a blend of African melodies, as well as dancehall.
Life and music career
Abban was raised in Dansoman, a suburb of Accra where he began making music in his school days. He gained his Secondary School Certificate at Christian Methodist Secondary School and completed his tertiary education at Jayee University College where he was the President of the Entertainment Committee. He was a rapper during his tertiary studies, where he won an award as the Best Rapper in a competition.
He later switched genres to reggae, and began professional music after pursuing a a four-year degree programme in journalism. He released his first reggae single Dem Wonder, which was followed up by Bruk Out featuring Jupitar, Real Woman, Sufferer, Reggae Rock, Forward Ever and Step Pon It.
He plans to release his debut EP Album entitled Governor Rules, with his single Broke Out featuring Jupitar.
Da Governor has performed Luciano, Edem, Iwan, Samini, and Sonni Balli.
