D Michelle Gent (December, 1964) is a Liberal Democrats County councillor in Nottinghamshire and horror/fantasy author. Political She was elected to Nottinghamshire County Council in the local elections of 2009 for the constituency of . She is Vice Chairman of Overview and Scrutiny. Gent is also on the committee of the Friends of Ashfield war memorials. She is currently working to save Sutton Public Baths (1924) and turn it into a Heritage centre and museum. Writing Gent has self-published her books through Gingernut Books Ltd, starting in 2010 with Deadlier... than the Male about a female werewolf. Her second book (Cruel...and Unusual)) is based in London and revolves around Jack the Ripper, taking you from his childhood to his death. Her third novel is (Blood on the Moon) released on Halloween 2011 and follows more of Red's adventures from the first book. As the first-born of three children, and the fifth living generation in a local mining family she hit the news early, appearing in the Derbyshire Times for her mother's efforts. In recent times a more stable lifestyle has allowed her to follow jobs better in line with her character. She spent a number of years working as a at public houses and night clubs, trying out different ways of keeping fit - such as kick boxing and gym work - she likes to do things girls don't normally do and she loves a challenge. In the last few years she has been writing down ideas for this (Deadlier...) and other books and after a nine-month spell working at a school decided to take a year off work to finally produce her first book Deadlier... than the Male. A number of years later, a few rejection slips under her belt and as much determination as ever, Deadlier... is joined by Cruel...and Unusual and Blood...on the Moon in the Werewolf series. Michelle's next book in her werewolf series Ancients and Gods will be out later this year. Michelle is also working on her Dusty the Demon Hunter series of short stories.
