Crammage

Crammage is a spaced repetition flashcard program. The software is similar to SuperMemo, a commercial product for the same purpose, and Mnemosyne, a minimalist free software alternative. The name Crammage is a wordplay on cramming, the short-term learn-and-forget approach used by many students.
Crammage is accessed via a web browser, in contrast to other implementations where the user downloads and installs an application. The advantage is that it is accessible from any computer. The drawback is that an internet connection is required.
The SM2 algorithm, created for SuperMemo in the late 80s, forms the basis of the spaced repetition methods employed in the program. Crammage's implementation groups today's cards within a category, so that the user does not need to switch context for every card.
Like most SuperMemo implementations, Crammage supports question-and-answer type cards. In addition, it supports factoids, which are single-sided flash cards: a single fact that does not require an answer. Also like other implementations, content has a strong focus on language but provides "card decks" for multiple topics.
