Crack Rock Steady Demo

The Crack Rock Steady Demo is a demo recorded by the American ska punk/crust punk band Choking Victim. Although recorded in 1993 (four of the songs included were used for the band's "Crack Rock Steady E.P."), the demo wasn't released until April 25th, 2000 through drummer Skwert's record label, Tent City Records.

The songs "Money", "You Oughta Die", "Choking Victim" and "Apple Pie & Police State" were also included on the band's first extended play, the "Crack Rock Steady Demo". "Money" was also rerecorded and included on their first (and only) album, No Gods, No Managers.
The songs "500 Channels", "Fuck America", "Hate Yer State" and "War Story" also were included on No Gods, No Managers.
"Corporate Trash" is the only song unique to this release, and is also a parody of the song "Take On Me", originally written by the Norwegian pop band a-ha.
"Hate Yer State" was rerecorded for the band's third E.P. "Victim Comes Alive".
"Apple Pie & Police State was also recorded by the band Leftover Crack (one of the many bands to spawn form Choking Victim's demise), for inclusion on their compilation Rock the 40 Oz: Reloaded.
