Biography Born Luke George Girgis in Melbourne in 1987 and raised in the southern suburbs of Sydney by his Egyptian parents, Coptic Soldier's time in the Australian Hip Hop scene has seen him support sold out tours with artists such as The Potbelleez, Bliss n Eso, The Herd, The Funkoars, Drapht, Pez, Pegz, Downsyde & Muph n Plutonic In 2009 he went on to collaborate a headline show with fellow members Mind Over Matter and Phatchance selling out the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney as a charity gig for Exodus Youth Worx. Nurcha Records Coptic Soldier was the final signing to Nurcha Records before its closure in 2009. Coptic released his debut mixtape on the label only a year into his musical career. Three years on from the mixtape Coptic Soldier independently distributed a completely original street release titled The Past Three Years, a CD which attempts to portray the musical journey from his debut.< HIPHOPSPHERE.COM Coptic Soldier is the founder and CEO of HIP HOP SPHERE a website which promotes hip hop culture around the world and is responsible for international interviews, reviews and press releases for many notable underground and commercial artists.
