Content Guru was founded in December 2005 by the founders of Redwood Technologies Ltd, a hardware and software manufacturer, specialist in ICT (Information and Communication Technology). It is the owner of the STORM platform, believed to be Europe's largest mass interactive multimedia platform, which runs within the [http://en. .org/wiki/Cable_%26_Wireless_Worldwide Cable&Wireless Worldwide] network. Content Guru specialises in the field of Communications Integration which involves connecting different information and communications systems together so that they can interwork. Content Guru provides its solutions using cloud-based technology and uses a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) delivery model. Content Guru's initial customers were media organisations such as the BBC, Channel 5 and Sky, which used the mass capacity of STORM to run voting and competition services. Although these types of services are still run on STORM, the focus of the business since 2008 has been on more complex multimedia services for the enterprise and public sectors. It currently runs services for a wide range of markets including financial services, health, online, retail and utilities. Its customers include UK Power Networks (formerly EDF Energy), National Rail Enquiries and Rightmove.
