Content Guru is a company that provides hosted communications services, using the Software as a service (SaaS) model. It is based in Bracknell, Berkshire, UK. Content Guru operates STORM, which it co-owns with Cable & Wireless, a FTSE-100 listed company. STORM is the mass interactive communications platform on which Content Guru's hosted services are run. History Content Guru was established in 2005 by Sean and Martin Taylor, both of whom are directors of Redwood Technologies Ltd, a communications solutions provider and technology manufacturer. The STORM platform is built using Redwood equipment. Technology The communication services running on STORM include delivery of video and Internet functions to mobile devices; Short Message Service (SMS - text messaging) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS); audio and video conferencing; IP Contact Centre systems; automated billing and payment; interactive voice response (IVR); call recording; speech recognition; mass calling services; other telecommunications and computer networking functions. Customers As well as Cable & Wireless itself, companies running services on the STORM platform include the BBC, , and The Times newspaper.
