The Constitution Party of Wisconsin (CPoW) is an affiliate party of the national Constitution Party, founded in 1991 as part of the U.S. Taxpayers Party. The Constitution Party of Wisconsin is one of five political parties recognized by the State of Wisconsin. The preamble to the Party's platform states that it "recognizes that there is a God, our rights come from Him, and government exists to protect those God given rights". The party recognizes the U.S. Constitution as the highest law in the land, yet under God's moral law, the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Wisconsin Constitution. Platform As an affiliate of the national Constitution Party, the CPoW supports the platform of the U.S. Constitution Party. This is reflected in the "National Party Planks" section of the CPoW platform. At the beginning of 2013, Wisconsin had three recognized political parties: Constitution, Democratic, and Republican. See Also
