A Brief History
Concept Radio , a pirate radio station in the Merseyside area of the UK, first broadcast on Sunday evenings in September 1985 with a mixed music format which usually ended with an informal chat at Midnight between the 2 presenter Tom Webb and Jim Lowe.
After a positiive response from listeners, this informal chat later became the Webb and Lowe Show . They also did several live Halloween broadcasts from various parts of Wirral. The Webb and Lowe Show became legal for a month in 1995 when it was broadcast on Wirral Community Radio.
Concept Radio has also broadcast via Central Radio International in 1987 when it got reception reports from as far away as Northern Ireland.
Concept Radio programmes have also been broadcast via Jolly Roger Radio in Ireland
Concept Radio has used various frquencies on FM over the years including 104.3, 99.8, 100.3 and 87.7.
