Comixtalk was founded as the news source Comixpedia on February 3, 2003 . Original editor-In-Chief Damonk said "readers and creators were screaming for a centralized hub from which to exchange information and contacts, to learn more about the events and exploits inside our blossoming community, to foster and promote a healthy awareness and image of webcomics to those outside."
