Colonel Roystan Lewis

Lewis was born on 24th. September 1951in Blackheath in London. He attended Kingswood School, Bath, Somerset and thereafter, he trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and graduated with an MA in Defence Studies in 1980
Military career
On 6 September 1978, Lewis was commissioned as a second lieutenant on probation in the Army Air Corp. on a short service commission. His commission was later confirmed and backdated to 5 August 1979, and promoted to lieutenant with seniority from 5 August 1979. He served as Flying Officer in 8 Flight. and also worked for a year as an intelligence liaison officer.
As a Flying Officer Lewis was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for service in action.
Member of the Order of the British Empire for his service in Iraq
