Collibra is a software company specializing in metadata management. One of their products is the data catalog tool Collibra Data Intelligence which has been named as the leader in Gartner's "Magic Quadrant" for metadata management for several consecutive years. History Collibra was founded in Belgium in June 2008 by Pieter De Leenheer, Stijn Christiaens, Felix Van de Maele and Damien Trog based on applied research in business semantics management and semantic technology at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In 2018, Collibra collected 100 million dollars in a series E financing valued at over 1 billion dollar, and became the first Belgian company to achieve this.
