CollegeSolved is an American Internet company that manages an online networking service for college applicants. The company's website, collegesolved.com, provides data on United States colleges as well as connects potential students with currently enrolled students and professional admissions consultants. History The company was founded in New York City in 2010 by Andrew Ullman and Hayward Majors. The collegesolved.com website was launched in April 2011. Website The website provides three services: SearchSolved, CollegiateChat and CounselorConnect. Searchsolved is a free searchable database of information about non-profit colleges in the United States. CollegiateChat is a directory of student ambassadors currently enrolled at specific colleges who make themselves available to speak with potential applicants. Private telephone connections are made through CollegeSolved's back-end technology systems. The college student ambassadors receive a payment of 10 dollars for each half hour conversation. According to CollegeSolved, participants are available on more than 650 campuses in the United States, including every U.S. News & World Report Top 100 college. CounselorConnect is a searchable directory of independent education counselors who are available for paid consultation.
