"Colbert it" or "Colberting it" is an idiomatic expression for a process where a slightly foolish concept is taken to its most ridiculous extreme. Based upon the exaggerated persona of Stephen Colbert on The Colbert Report.
Example: "The boss said to write that we are going to increase production by 20% in 10 months. That's crazy. Let's 'Colbert It' and say we can increase production by 90% in 3 months and see if he buys it."
Usage began sometime in 2006 and is becoming more common among politically progressive people, aged 18-35. Its use has been surfacing more and more often on liberal blogs.
