CleanPix

CleanPix Corporation is a digital asset management service company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Operating through their website, CleanPix offers services designed for PR and marketing to enhance connectivity between members of the media and its clients.
In 2008, a textbook published by Routledge included CleanPix as a case study example of an innovation and benefit to the Tourism industry. The example illustrated mainly that clients can maintain reduced costs while increasing their global reach by eliminating expensive shipping and production of CDs and other marketing materials in favor of the online service provided by CleanPix.
In November 2006, CleanPix Corporation was recognized by the National Research Council of Canada as an example of the kind of success the NRC-IRAP helps new companies achieve through its support. In December 2007, CleanPix was given an Award of Merit by the Society for New Communications Research.
Environmental impact
CleanPix Corporation joined up with Canadian electric retailer Bullfrog Power in February 2008. As a client of Bullfrog Power, CleanPix now powers all of its servers with 100% wind energy. Nelson Vigneault, CEO of CleanPix, has spoken frequently about methods of reducing the impact on the environment and has spoken out against the rampant production (and then frequent disposal) of USB Flash Drives and the waste caused by burning and sending CDs via courier.
