It was launched in 2010 and is headquartered in Chennai. The idea behind the website is to "“To speak our minds and be our kinds!" The website has its origin from the Orkut Tamil Cinema Community, where members have had reviews and discussions on tamil movies for the last 6 years. Aspiring to provide a more balanced and standardized forum to provide users to share their views and reviews, Claps and Boos seeks to unite a pan-Indian audience. As per Alexa rating , more than 90% of the user of ClapsandBoos are from India and just in the second week after its launch it saw an 80% increase in the traffic. |
