CK1 is the pseudonym of an Iranian visual artist, and graffiti artist pioneer. His works are based on Iranian root culture poets like Hafez and Molana. The postmodern use of Persian alphabet/Islamic art motifs in his works, instead of using only western culture sets his artwork apart. Career start (2000-2004) After blossoming years of street art and graffiti in iran by Art groups like KolahStudio and Ratz in Tehran in (2002-2003) which were so influential to the graffiti world in middle east by the works of writers like Ck1, Magoi, A1one the first Iranian graffiti movement emerged in Tehran. Ck1 was one of the defying artists of the following scene. Ratz crew (2004-2007) On March 2004, CK1 continued his career as one of the Ratz Krew crew with Big-C, Soheil. The crew then managed to build Iran's first underground cement skatepark which led to inspiration of many more local artists, and became one of the first underground spots in the city which skaters could find themselves in an innovative workshop. Ratz crew gained reputation among skaters and hip-hop artists after tag-marking the whole Tehran city squares in less than a year. The crew was featured in the documentary film directed by Saeed Haddadi on Spring of 2006 to explain their styles, talking about the whole graffiti scene in Iran, discussing about the both positive and negative sides of street art, and to clarify their view of the act. Later experienced photographer, Zenmo joined the crew. The next photo-exhibition took place on the year 2008 at the Mehrva gallery after all four surrounding walls were filled with paint and they were done with the project. On the next year, Engineer/photographer Zenmo died in a severe plane crash in Bishkek- Kirghizistan, Quickly after Rasoulov's death the Ratz crew disbanded and let the younger artists hold the scene. A small reunion (2009) As of March 2009 as a small crew reunion he collaborated with Big-c again to do a project for Tehran's municipality. The job was consist of designing the spaces and painting the walls for a basketball gym located in the city-center. After that date he is on his solo career.
