CID-SRM is a standalone, Server Room Monitoring system developed by the University of Colombo, Centre for Instrument Development (CID). It is a standalone device capable of monitoring the weather parameters temperature, humidity and flooding of a server room and producing warnings to the users. The project was founded by Deependra Ariyadewa, Suneth Chandana and Hiran H E Jayaweera. Ver 1.0 Released on 13th October, 2009. It is a standalone device capable of monitoring the weather parameters of a server room. This version is capable of producing warning rings and SMSes to the preloaded phone numbers when any of the parameters reaching the critical value. New Features are to be implemented in the forthcoming versions.
