Fruit Town Brims

The Fruit Town Brims are a spin off of the original Fruit Town Pirus founded in 1974 by a former member named Davey who moved to west Los Angeles. But since gangs on the westside operated under the Brims umbrella, it was named the Fruit Town Brims, as opposed to carrying the Piru banner. Most of the Fruit Town Brim youth go to John Muir Jr. High School.In the 1970s there was the 30s Fruit Town Brims and the 40s Fruit Town Brims. The 40s Fruit Town Brims used to be sectioned from 41st Street to 48th Street between Vermont and Figueroa. Aside from the Fruit Town Pirus, they have built alliances with the Harvard Park Brims and Van Ness Gangster Brims.
