Family and education
Her parents are Brenda and the late Jerry Cannon Joiner. Born into an aristocratic family, Jeri-Cannon Christy Bella Joiner, she's considered to be privileged southern lady. At the tender age of five, Christy Bella Joiner impressed the world with her artistic talents. Involved in theater, ballet, and music, it became apparent that this Georgia native would stand out. A prodigy of classical piano, Ms. Joiner played Chopin and Bach by her early teen years. She attended Henderson High School in Atlanta, Georgia, the Valdosta State University, University of Georgia, and Georgia State University. At the University of Georgia, she was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority, where she remains an alumni. Christy Bella's father passed away due to cancer on her birthday, and she dedicates much of her work as a Top Model and actress to the American Cancer Society.
Career
Christy Bella Joiner modeled with several magazines, including Tallahassee Magazine, Emerald Coast Magazine, Hawaiian Tropic, Stuff Magazine, "Elle", and she is a semi-finalist in Maxim. In addition to magazines, she appears on billboards and in catalogues. During her college years, Christy Joiner became a household name in Georgia. Soon, she signed with a prominent modeling agency. The industry compared her to Catherine Deneuve and Grace Kelly, capitalizing on the classic beauty movement. In fact, Ralph Lauren was captivated with Christy's overall enigma. Also, Roman Polanski seemed fascinated with the striking resemblance to his past. Above all, Karl Lagerfeld named Christy Joiner a Supermodel, Spokesmodel for Chanel, and an International representative for all his products.
After the meeting with Karl, Christy Joiner made her first film, "Lagerfeld Confidential". Christy studied acting as well. She started acting in college, and her filmography over the past decade includes a variety of small roles. In 2003, she had a small, extra-role in "James Patterson's First To Die", and she made cameo appearances in " in the films "Succubus, Hellbent", "One Last Thing", "Conversations With Other Women", "Perfect Stranger", and "8MM2". Nevertheless, she maintains an extremely private lifestyle, and it is very rare to see Christy Joiner on any red carpet event. Early in 2009, Christy decided to devote her money, time, and energy into cancer research.
