Christopher Claude Beau (Born February 2, 1961) is a French draftsman, painter and sculptor. He is best known for his wide variety of styles embodied in his work, some of which can be seen on ArtSymphony.com. Early life and family Born in Lille, France, Beau is the son of Claude Valentin Desire Jules Arthur Beau and Claudie Edith Fabien. On his father’s side, Beau is of French and Belgium descent, and on his mother’s side he is French. As a child, Beau moved with his parents often, Besançon, 1966, Lyon, 1971, Paris, 1973, Crystal, MI., 1978, Nantes, France, 1979, Paris, 1980, Île de Batz, 1981. He could spend countless hours watching over construction sites, visited many museums with his parents, saw lots of scientific documentaries, regularly saw science fiction movies and later explained that this has inspired his interest in building things, constructing things, which most of the time became alive in his drawings. His creations are sometimes “technical/mechanical looking” in some weird way, and that is because of his interest in everything scientific and technical. Beau had trouble fitting into the French school system as his mind and focus was always elsewhere, he demonstrated uncanny artistic talent in his early years, and constantly got in trouble for drawing, doodling, sketching all the time, all over his books, notepads, desktops, everywhere...He has been experimenting with many techniques especially in more recent years. Beau’s creativity manifests itself in numerous mediums, including drawing, painting, watercolor, sculpture, and architecture. Style Most of Beau’s drawings deal with futuristic architectural rendering scenes, including most of his pen and ink drawings made over a period of twenty years, a collection of watercolors dealing with science fiction, and some pastels about soft esoteric fuzzy looking science fiction sceneries. More recently, he has started experimenting with oil dealing mostly with abstract themes, using different techniques to render his ideas on the canvas. Although Beau is currently focusing mostly on abstracts, he has done quite a few illustrations over the years for various architects, as well as an illustration contest which got him an award and was published in the 1990 L.
