Christina Gray is a post-secondary instructor and political activist from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Christina is the Alberta New Democrats' (NDP) nominated candidate for the riding of Edmonton Mill Woods in Alberta's next provincial election.
Christina was born and raised in Edmonton. Christina and her husband live in the Woodvale community of Mill Woods.
She earned a Bachelor's Degree of Psychology, with honours standing, from Concordia University College of Alberta, and a Microsoft .NET Developer Diploma from DevStudios.
An active volunteer throughout her community, she is a volunteer member and the current Chairperson of the Edmonton Transit System Advisory Board (ETSAB). ETSAB is a volunteer advisory board, set up by the City of Edmonton, to provide impartial advice to city council with regards to matters that may affect the City owned Edmonton Transit System.
Christina also volunteers with The Support Network, an Edmonton based organization dedicated to helping individuals in times of crisis and is on the Woodvale Community League executive.
Christina is an active member of the New Democratic Party. She is President of the NDP's Edmonton—Mill Woods—Beaumont federal riding association. Christina was an active volunteer in the last federal election, volunteering on her husband Neal Gray's election campaign. Christina was a delegate at the 2006 federal party convention in Quebec City, Quebec. Christina was also a delegate and Chairperson of a resolutions panel at the 2006 provincial party convention in Edmonton, Alberta.
The members of the Mill Woods NDP held a contested nomination meeting on December 5th, 2006. Christina was elected by the local party members to be their candidate in the next election.
On June 14, 2007, Christina was awarded a YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in the newly created Inroads category.
