Christian Vitters

Christian Vitters (born June 26, 1985), is a current actor/model. Vitters was a former professional athlete who played in the Oakland Athletics Organization for five years (06'-10'). Vitters was drafted by the Athletics in the 10th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft out of Cal State University of Fresno.
He has a brother Josh, who is currently a top prospect in the Chicago Cubs Organization.
Draft
Vitters was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 10th round of the 2006 amatuer draft and signed with the Athletics on June 28, 2006.
Minors Career
After signing with the Athletics, he played within their organization up until 2010 where he announced his retirement from baseball to seek opportunities in the acting industries. While with the Athletics, he played his way up to the AAA level. His tenure in the minor leagues was marred with injuries from the start. Injuries the ultimately led to his leaving of the game.
College Career
Vitters had a very successful collegiate career in both baseball and academics. He played three years at Cal State University of Fresno, accumilating a variety of awards and honors. In 2004, as a freshman, he was a Scholar Athlete, All-Conference, and Freshman All-American. In 2005, he was named the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List. And in 2006, his final year with the Bulldogs, he enjoyed his best year with the program. He was once again All-Conference, but also took home the Conference Player of the Year Award. In addition, he was also named Fresno State University Athlete of the Year as well as winning the local ESPY Athlete of the Year Honor. Unfortunately, he was struck on the left hand by an errant pitch in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament that ended his great season early. Despite this, the Oakland Athletics still made him their 10th round pick that June.
Acting Career
Despite being new to the acting industries, he was hired as a backround actor in the Jeta Amata epic Black/Gold the Struggle for Niger Delta. The film included established actors such as Billy Zane, Tom Sizemore, Vivica A. Fox, Eric Roberts, Michael Madsen, Sarah Wayne Calles, and Ken Garcia. Athough initially being a small, non-speaking role, it was upgraded to a speaking one. He plays Secret Service Agent Jack Cash. He is currently set to appear in the film How Sweet It Is. Filming on the project has yet to begin.
Vitters currently studies film acting at the Actors Studio of Orange County (ASOOC), under the tutelidge of Ken Garcia. He is also a part of the Mentorship Program runned by Suzzane Delaurentiis and Ken Garcia.
Modeling
He has done various print job modeling work, as well as swimsuit work for the ReySwimwear fashion line.
Personal
Vitters currently resides in Anaheim, CA. He has one brother Josh, and a sister Ashley. His religion is the same as his name, Christian.
