Chris Terrell

Chris Terrell (born June 2, 1972) is an American basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Dallas Skyline of The Basketball League. He has extensive experience as both a professional basketball coach and general manager.
Coaching Career
In 2006, he was named as the head coach of the Texas Tycoons He also served as Director of operations for the World Basketball Association (WBA) .
Terrell was the director of basketball development for the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA D-League and holds a career .776 winning percentage (as of November 2006) with an extensive background in league management, team management, general management, head coaching, and operations.
Terrell went on to coach in the CIBACOPA for Pioneros de Los Mochis and in the Chinese Basketball Association for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Named All-star coach while with Los Mochis and with the Texas Tycoons, Terrell went to the 2007 ABA Championship, and served as director of basketball for the D-League Finalists that year as well. In 2011, Terrell went on to become the head coach for Fuerza Guinda de Nogales.
In January 2012, Terrell took over the position of head coach for CSS Giurgiu in the Romanian top-tier , replacing Djordje Jovicic. In the process, Terrell became the first American to coach in the top leagues of Latin America (LNBP), China (CBA) and Europe (Romania A). The accomplishment was achieved while still in his 30s. As a member of FIBA Europe 1, CSS Giurgiu finished the 2011-2012 season on a positive defeating Timisoara and winning their final 2 games moving past rival FC Dinamo in the standings. Retained for the 2012-2013 season, Terrell has been given the added charge of helping to assemble the club's roster and has added the role of director of basketball in addition to head coach.
In 2013, Terrell was hired as served the head coach for the Halifax Rainmen but was after three months due to the team's poor record.
On May 27, 2019 Terrell was hired as the head coach of the Dallas Skyline, who begin play in 2020 as part of The Basketball League.
Personal
Terrell credits his humble beginnings as a high school coach in Los Angeles who moved quickly up the ladder to the collegiate ranks and on to professional leagues around the world.In the summer of 2012, Terrell founded and headed EuroCamp Dallas. An opportunity for professional basketball players to work with top-level overseas coaches. Twelve players from this program have received overseas offers as of August 2012.
