Chris Surber (born February 1977) is the pastor of historic Cypress Chapel Christian Church in Suffolk, Virginia. Cypress Chapel was founded in 1746 and was among the first churches to participate in the Restoration Movement in America. It was the location of the first regular session of the Southern Christian Convention which met from May 5 through 8 in 1858. Cypress Chapel is a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Churches.
Chris Surber is a Christian author of books and various articles, a religion columnist for the Suffolk News Herald, and a Faculty Mentor with The North American Reformed Seminary. He is a graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a candidate for the Doctor of Ministry Degree in Expository Preaching from Temple Baptist Seminary
