Chris Beake

Chris Beake (born September 10, 1972) is an American football coach who currently serves as the assistant defensive line coach of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). Entering his 20th season coaching in the NFL, Beake came to Denver after spending two years (2011-12) as an offensive assistant with the Cleveland Browns following one season in that same capacity with the San Francisco 49ers.
Early Years
Beake graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a degree in civil engineering. He played quarterback from 1990-92 and he began his coaching career as a defensive graduate assistant for his alma mater in 1994. Beake served as a Civil Engineer Officer in the Air Force from 1995-98 while earning his master’s degree in business administration from the University of West Florida in 1997.
Coaching career
Beake started his NFL career with San Francisco in 1998 as a pro personnel assistant and spent the next five seasons with the 49ers coaching on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. From 2004-06, he coached linebackers for the Atlanta Falcons, working with All-Pro Keith Brooking. Beake then spent two seasons with Seattle, serving as the Seahawks’ offensive quality control coach in 2008 and offensive assistant/assistant special teams coach in 2009. Beake briefly returned to the 49ers in 2010 as an offensive assistant. The Browns hired Beake in 2011 as an offensive assistant, and he spent two seasons there helping the offense.
Beake joined the Broncos in 2013 as a quality control assistant to the defense. He was promoted to defensive assistant in 2014 and began working with the defensive line in 2016. During Beake’s five seasons in Denver, the Broncos have allowed the second-fewest total yards (310 .1) in the league.
Personal
Beake's father, John Beake, was the general manager of the Denver Broncos from 1984-98.
