Cholla Middle School

Cholla Middle School is a 7-8 grade school in the Washington Elementary School District. Located in Phoenix, AZ, Cholla Middle School offers many different courses for students.
Courses
Each grade has three teams- A, B, and C. On each team there is a math teacher, a science teacher, a language arts teacher, a reading teacher, and a social studies teacher.
Advanced Classes
For students that have passed in one of the three areas on the Cognitive Abilities Test, there is an advanced science class. There are also advanced math classes available such as Math Course 3, Algebra 1, and Geometry. The Flex Center is available to students that have passed in all three areas on the Cognitive Abilities Test.
Electives
Students have one elective that they can select. Electives that are available include P.E., Band, Art, Choir, Drama, General Music, Orchestra, and Computers. Their elective can take place during any hour.
Schedule
Classes are usually fifty-seven minutes to an hour each. On Early Release days, most classes are 42 minutes.

Morning Announcements
Currently, Cholla runs CBS, Cholla Broadcasting Station. Students are selected to be part of CBS where they run the announcements in the morning. Along with the announcements, they will play CNN Student News or Cholla's 'March Madness'.
