Born Chinyere Nwamadu to an elite academic family in Amaokpara Nkwerre L.G.A, Imo State in eastern Nigeria, she was encouraged to read and write literature from infancy by her father, an English language and literature graduate from the University of Jos. In 1988 Chinyere was the best literature student at St Catharines Girls secondary School, Nkwerre, a leading school in eastern Nigeria. She later left to study for a Nigerian Certificate in education at the Alvan Ikoku College of Education in Owerri. She went for further studies at Abia State University, where she graduated with an honours degree in Science and Education in 1994.
A doting mum with busy schedules, she has been able to stamp her foot in the world of literature across the globe despite her humble background. She has shown herself to be a serious upcoming African woman writer with something great to offer to the world of literature.
