China Systems is one of the largest Trade Finance and Payments system vendors in the world, creating software solutions for the banking market since 1981. History The company started out in 1981 as a software developer and consulting provider to international banks in Taipei. Among its first clients were Bank Boston, Chase, and Citibank of Taipei. In 1983, it established the first office in Taiwan with 6 staff members. Around this time, development on the first Eximbills version on the Wang VS platforms started. Later versions were developed on AS/400, PC LAN, and DEC VAX. In 1989, it established a Documentation Centre in the Philippines, the main objective of which is to prepare and write the Eximbills Trade Finance Manuals. In 1991, it established the Software Development Centre in Nanjing, China, a centre dedicated wholly for product research and development. It has 100+ developers and programmers. In 1993, the development of Eximbills Client Server Version started. In 1994, the expansion of China Systems started, resulting in branches in Europe, America, Middle East, and China, established to provide sales and local support services. It has further established sales and local support centres in Hong Kong, Thailand, Spain, and Portugal, with representation in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. 1998 saw China Systems with over 500 sites in 56 countries using Eximbills. With more than 6,000 sites of its Eximbills workstations, China Systems continues to develop its range of specialist products and services. In 2002, China Systems started the development of the Java EE solution range, Eximbills Enterprise and Customer Enterprise(Front-End Trade Finance solution for Bank's client. Its major software solutions are now CS Eximbills, Eximbills Enterprise and Customer Enterprise.
