Chimestone

Based in Seattle, Washington. Chimestone was formed in 1990 by schoolmates from Newport High School. Founding members and only line up to date are Singer & Guitarist Jake Gordon, brothers Ryan Schuehle on Lead Guitars, Ted Schuehle on Bass and Drummer Paul Michaels. Chimestone drew on melodic influences from both America and England such as The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Killers and R.E.M..
Their first public performance was in 1991 at the Off Ramp club on a "New Music Monday". They went on to play numerous shows around the northwest at such notable clubs as The RKCNDY, The Colourbox, and OK Hotel, and were a frequent mainstay at the now-closed Swan Cafe in the Pioneer Square district of Seattle.
Chimestone ended for a while in the mid-90's, with members going on to play in The Cheap Ones, Splendor, Anabret, and The Stereo Kings. The Stereo Kings have music featured in the independent documentary "A Lawyer Walks Into A Bar" and were mentioned in the feature film "Love Happens".
