Changing Lives Ministry

Changing Lives Ministry is a online Christian teenage-run ministry started by Matthew Reichenberger and Jonathan Reichenberger in 2012. In the beginning of 2012, the ministry sent out weekly letters that offer various topics on a Gospel and Christ-centered approach. However, the ministry began to expand from 2013 to 2015 with the incorporation of staff from various countries all around the world and the addition of a live weekly online service that can be accessed anywhere in the world. The online service includes singing hymns and songs, prayer, confession, the assurance of pardon, the reading of the Apostle’s Creed, and the reading of God’s Word. The services are led by CLM staff with the message either given by one of their trained staff members, or guest pastors. Each semester they host a sermon series on specific books of the Bible or specific, relevant topics. During these series, they invite well-known guest pastors and teachers to their services.
Beliefs & Worship Controversy
Changing Lives Ministry uses the Westminster Confession of Faith as an accurate, Biblical summary of their beliefs. At CLM, worship through singing is a very important part of the meetings. CLM is uniquely known as a teenage ministry for using a mix of traditional and contemporary hymns and songs. Back in 2014-2015 there was some controversy over the style of music and program CLM was using. Staff noted that CLM was using worship that was too old and unattractive. However, CLM leadership and most staff continued to stick with blended worship services that leaned more traditional. As of 2016, CLM's chapel music became united with very Biblical and Gospel-centered worship under their new director of music, Jacob Skiles. The ministry's goal was not to become mainstream and ultra-contemporary like many younger ministries. Each week at their service, there will usually be a traditional hymn with and organ accompaniment, a traditional hymn to a new tune, and a more contemporary song. These are always accompanied by prayer, confession, and assurance of pardon, as well as the reading of God’s Word and the Apostles' or Nicene Creeds.
Guest Pastors
CLM has had a whole host of guest pastors including the following: Bryan Chapell who is Senior Pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Peoria IL; Philip Ryken who is President of Wheaton College in Wheaton IL; Rob Pacienza who is the Lead Pastor at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Fort Lauderdale FL; Michael Lindsay who is the President of Gordon College in Wenham, MA; Sam Lamerson who is the President of Knox Theological Seminary in Fort Lauderdale FL; and many more.
Merger with The Potter's School as a Chapel Service
Most recently in the fall of 2016, CLM partnered with The Potter's School in providing chapel services for their students and added some substantial staff. CLM chose Dr. John Juneman to be their Leadership & Guidance Pastor in September of 2016. They also hired Matthias Hargrave to be their Executive Director and Jacob Skiles to be their Director of Music.
