Chad Wyrick

Chad Austin Wyrick (born January 25, 1995) is an American sports journalist, writer, former college football player and founder of Against The Points.
Early life
Wyrick attended Princeton High School in Princeton, West Virginia, where he played wide receiver for the Tigers and graduated with business honors in 2013.
He then attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he was a walk-on for the Thundering Herd and served as a scout-team wide receiver in 2013, before transferring to Bluefield University where he graduated with a degree in Business in 2016.
Career
Wyrick served as an assistant football coach for the Bluefield Rams in 2016, where he was fired after one season amidst a controversial tweet regarding MLB star Roberto Osuna's struggles with anxiety. Wyrick then coached at Princeton High School for one season. While coaching, he also wrote articles for College Weekly and Last Word on Sports covering the Miami Dolphins.
In late 2016, Wyrick started his own podcast known as 4th And Truth. He interviewed former Tennessee Volunteers running back Marlin Lane. During that interview, Lane exposed former University of Tennessee head coach Butch Jones, accusing him of threatening his life and ruining his chances of playing in the National Football League.
In 2019, Wyrick then developed and created the website, Against The Points. While only covering college football and professional sports in the first year of the launch, the site then expanded to cover all pop culture and entertainment.
Personal life
Wyrick currently resides in his hometown of Princeton, West Virginia where he operates his media company, The Wyrick Company, LLC.
