The Central Philippine University College of Arts and Sciences, abbreviated as CPU-CAS or CAS, is one of the Colleges of Central Philippine University located in Iloilo City. The general education program of the College was accredited by the Association of Christian Schools and Colleges Accrediting Agency (ACSC-AA) in 1978. The Social Work Program was accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) in 1986. In 1987 all the academic programs of the College of Arts and Sciences are Level III Accreditation status. The College of Arts and Sciences is composed of the following departments: Department of Chemistry, Department of Languages, Mass Communication and Humanities, Department of Life Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Physics, Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Department of Social Sciences and Department of Social Work. These departments except mathematics and physics of the College of Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science and Social Work serve the general education programs of all the colleges of the university.
