Format Each week Hellberg, Mulcahy and Palomar speak with guests who specialize in a particular area of the green movement. Topics have included organic gardening, corporate sustainability, global warming, healthier school lunches, Permaculture, wine and cheese making, solutions for food waste, food addictions, reconnecting to the land, and fostering ecological literacy. Hosts Helge Hellberg is an educator, consultant, radio talk-show host, and organic food advocate widely respected for his innovative work in the field of sustainability, ecology, and human health. He is a distinguished speaker and guest lecturer at events and conferences throughout the United States, Canada and Europe and has advised businesses, organizations, local and state governments, as well as U.S. Senators and members of the U.S. House of Representatives on agricultural challenges and opportunities. His contributions and projects have been featured in dozens of articles and TV segments including CNN, ABC, and CBS, the Huffington Post, the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and Mother Earth Magazine. Mark Mulcahy is a produce retail consultant, educator, and organic advocate. He is a member of CDS Consulting Co-op, which provides produce consulting and educational services for co-ops and independent retailers worldwide. Sitarani Palomar is the Culinary Program Director for Bauman College, training chefs in a holistic approach that focuses on nutrition and sustainability. She has worked professionally in restaurants and as a personal chef, caterer, and cooking instructor in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. Her specialties include vegan, vegetarian, and raw cuisines, as well as macrobiotic, Ayurvedic, and gluten-free diets. Chef Sita¹s commitment to organic, local, seasonal whole foods and fairly traded ingredients led her to her motto: Enjoy food that is good for the body, good to the Earth, and good for the welfare of the people. She is currently working on her cooking show “Twice-a-Week Vegetarian” which encourages people of all diets to choose a plant-based meal twice a week to save money and to promote better health and a lighter carbon footprint.
