Caspar von Winterfeldt

Caspar von Winterfeldt (January 10, 1968) is an Anglo-German investment banker turned film producer and financier.
Biography
Early life
Caspar von Winterfeldt was born in Bremen,Germany. Shortly after his birth, he moved to Pakistan where his father Dominik von Winterfeldt ran the regional offices of german pharamceuticals and chemical conglomerate Hoechst AG. In 1974 the family moved to London, England where his father ran the Hoechst AG - UK operations until 1987. It was here that Caspar received his education and attended Dair House School, Caldicott School and finally Bedford School. In 1987 his father was named to the board of Directors of Hoechst AG in Frankfurt and the family moved back to Germany. Caspar then embarked on a continuing education in the USA where he attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Investment Banking career
Following his undergraduate degree, Caspar moved briefly to New York City where he was enrolled as a trainee at the World Trade Center for the global investment bank Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. He held positions at several major investment banks including Dresdner Bank AG, Bank of Nova Scotia and JP Morgan Chase before retiring from banking to pursue a career as a film producer.
Film career
In 2003 he was awarded a place at the American Film Institute to attend the conservatory's producing program. He dropped out of the school a year early to become SVP and Head of Production at Film And Music Entertainment, Inc, which was helmed by industry veteran producer John Daly until his death in October 2008. During his tenure at the company he produced two motion pictures, Played and MoonPie. In 2006 he formed Fortune Films, LLC, his own production company shingle together with producing partner Ernst-August Schnieder. The company specializes in development, financing, production and distribution services for the motion picture industry.
