Cashboard

Cashboard is web-based small business productivity software launched by Subimage LLC in April, 2007. Cashboard is SaaS, offered on a freemium basis.
Features
Cashboard offers time tracking, project management, invoicing, expense tracking, and simple bookeeping. Users can also accept online payments via credit card with a merchant account, or PayPal. Freelance Switch said that Cashboard has a "major amount of potential for the freelance world".
API
Cashboard offers an extensive API which allows developers to access and manipulate their data using JSON and XML. It was only the second API which offered access to both time tracking and invoicing in one.
Cashboard has used this public API to develop an iPhone, iPad, and Android compatible mobile app using Sencha Touch, which was made available on October 9th, 2012.
Technology
Cashboard is written using Ruby on rails, Javascript, and MySQL. Cashboard has been active in the Rails community, sponsoring the Rails Rumble multiple times since 2007.
Company
Subimage LLC began as a web consulting firm, founded by Seth Banks in 2002. The company transitioned into product development in 2005, launching it's first product Substruct - which is an open sourced Ruby on rails e-commerce web application.
Cashboard was the second product created, out of the founder's personal need for a better solution to manage estimates, time tracking, and invoicing.
